Hull the strawberries and put them in a pie dish and then sprinkle the caster sugar over the strawberries. Now add the vanilla extract along with almonds and mix them together.
Put the baking powder and flour to a mixing bowl and rub the cold diced butter in using your fingers. This should end up looking like breadcrumbs. Once you have the breadcrumbs pour in the flaked almonds and the demerara sugar and mix them into the......mix.
Strawberry and Almond Crumble:
Spoon the crumble mixture evenly on top of the strawberries making sure you have an even spread across the top.
Bake the crumble in the preheated oven for between 30 and 40 minutes until the topping is slightly crisp and browned you should be avle to see the strawberries bubbling at the edges.
